Organizing doesn’t have to be a chore. I have included some quick and easy organizing tips that can be done throughout the course of your day. If you do a few of them each day, you will feel a great sense of accomplishment. Here we go…
- Clean out and empty your trash in your car each time that you stop for gas.
- Label all of your cords and chargers when you get them so that don’t forget what goes to what.
- Make copies of all of the important items in your wallet in case of an emergency (Driver’s License, credit cards, etc). And don’t carry your social security card with you.
- Stop telemarketing calls by adding your phone number to the National Do Not Call registry at DoNotCall.gov.
- Toss anything that is expired like coupons, medicines, food products and warranties.
- Remove plastic dry cleaning bags and empty wire hangers from your closet. It will give you more space instantly, plus the plastic is bad for your clothes.
- Create a staging area next to the door that heads out to your car so that you can put items that need to head out the door with you at a moments notice.
- Remove any “mystery” keys from your key chain. If you are feeling really brave, toss them. Otherwise, place all of those “mystery keys in a bag together.
- Take advantage of your online banking and schedule as many bills as you can automatically. This is a huge time saver.
- And finally, stop receiving offers from credit card companies by calling 888-567-8688. This is a great way to cut down on the amount of junk mail that you receive.
Happy Organizing! Bridges
