Everything should have a home!
Put things away right when you are done with them. If that is not always possible, make sure everything is put away when you leave for the day. This will make it much easier to find things so you are not spending precious time every day figuring out where you put something. That, along with the fact that it is a great feeling to come home to an organized home!
