Secrets of a clever coupon clipper!

coupon clipping

Does coupon clipping intimidate you at all?  Read these secrets to make your shopping trip a little easier!

1.  Clip coupons only for products you actually purchase or are meaning to purchase.  Otherwise, you will end up with so many that you will be less  likely to use the ones that are really pertinent to you.

2.  Organize coupons in an expandable accordion wallet that has prelabeled sections.  When heading to the grocery store, gather and paperclip the needed ones together in the sequence the items appear on your list.  If you need to check while you are shopping that you are putting the appropriate brand and size in your cart,, it will be a cinch to find the right coupon.

3. If you are really eager to save some additional money, peruse the Wednesday grocery ads for specials that work for you and your family.  Wal-Mart will price match your competitors and I like to circle the items with a sharpie in the ads that I want to take advantage of. That way if I get asked what store the price match is from I have it ready to go.

4.  With your price match items, I put them on the backside of my other groceries and keep them all together.  When I am at checkout, I will tell the associate that all of my price match items are at the end and it makes the entire checkout process go a lot smoother. When you get to the end, have your prices ready to go and it will be a breeze to check out.  Have your coupons ready to go (double-check that you picked up all of the items) and watch the savings add up!
