Today we’re talking about space-saving ideas for shoes. Watch the video or read on below for tips on how to maximize your shoe storage space!
There’s a couple of great options for storing your shoes. First, if you have shoeboxes, please get rid of them! As you can’t see through them, you don’t know what you own and end up wearing those shoes less often. Instead, you can replace them with a clear plastic box that opens in the front. These allow for easy access, and you can stack them on top of each other. Whatever type of container you go with, getting a transparent color is the most important part so that you can see through them and see what you own.
Another option is a hanging shoe organizer. These utilize vertical space and hang from your clothing rod. They’re wide enough to fit a pair of shoes in each slot and keep your shoes easily visible so you can always find what you’re looking for.
If you have built-in shelves in your closet, these can be ideal for storing your shoes. The key to maximizing these is to put the shoes you wear on the most regular basis within accessible reach, and you can put the ones you use less often a little higher up.

Additionally, you could use an over-the-door shoe organizer. Make sure to get the clear one! These are great for shoes or accessories; they keep them visible and take up space that you likely aren’t already utilizing.
For shoes you rarely need access to, an under-the-bed organizer is great for saving space! Your special occasion or seasonal shoes are stored nicely and can be easily pulled out when the occasion arises.
