You know that old saying, out of sight, out of mind?  Well it’s certainly true about your purses.  Do you have so many purses that you can’t remember what they all look like?  While it’s always great to have a new purse or to switch to that perfect purse to complete your outfit, but what do you do with them when they are not in use?

The key to keeping your purses organized is to be able to SEE them.  There are many systems for keeping your purses in view, hanging them from hooks or hangers, stacking them in cubbies, or lining them on a shelf.  Whatever system you use, it’s important to make sure they can be easily seen and in a system that works within your home.

A great idea for women who change their handbags frequently is to keep a basket where the items from your purse can be dumped each day.  This will allow you to pick out only what you need for the next purse you use, particularly nice if you are switching to a smaller handbag for the evenings.  It also prevents items being left (trash, pens and miscellaneous items) in a previous purse where they may be forgotten about and gives you a great opportunity to clean out your purse on a regular basis.  Keep dryer sheets at hand and put one in your purses when not in use to keep it smelling fresh.

Happy Organizing! Bridges
