scrapbookingIf you are a scrapbooker or would just like to keep pictures and articles from a newspaper, consider making a scan and using that in your scrapbook.  The beauty of a scan is that you can re-size it for your scrapbook so that it will fit.  As you well know, newspaper clippings turn yellow and deteriorate very quickly and are not appealing in the long run.  The reason for this is the paper is very acidic and a low quality paper.

You are still able to keep the newspaper copy but you may want to consider using an archival spray to prolong the life of the article.  There is a product called “Archival Mist” that is sold at scrapbook stores that will preserve the quality of the clipping or at least slow down the deterioration of the paper.
